A suburban neighborhood in Northeast San Antonio and about 15 minutes from downtown, Royal Ridge is near Windcrest, Universal City, Live Oak and Kirby. Formed about 25 years ago, Royal Ridge is comprised of a large neighborhood of attractive garden homes. Owners are members of the Royal Ridge Neighborhood Association, which offers some amenities to members, such as swimming and other activities.

Nearby Attractions: If you like nature, there are three public parks within the boundaries of Windcrest, all of which have ponds: Brook Falls Pond, Autumn Sunset Pond and Windy Hollow Pond.

Schools: Served by the Northeast Independent School District, which is one of the best in the San Antonio area.

Amenities: The neighborhood is convenient to area military bases and hospitals and with its proximity to I-35, it is within minutes of The Forum, a popular shopping mall. There are fast food stops in the area, as well as unique ethnic restaurants.

The Windcrest Economic Development Corporation plans to invest nearly $400 million in the area to attract businesses, office space and more, with road improvements also slated. Rackspace, an international web hosting company is now located in the area and is is expected to have a vibrant impact on the quality and quantity of amenities in the area.
